The timeless nature of traditional river boats lies in their simplicity, practicality, and strong relationship with craftsmanship. When it comes to the Beam Punt, the designers from Foster + Partners Industrial Design reinterpret this famous kind of boat thanks to the contemporary approach to design that includes precise engineering without neglecting the long traditions of boat building. Beam Punt is a new interpretation of the classic punt which was created in order to improve everything connected with the art of boat building and to create a comfortable and elegant boat for leisure navigation in inland waters.
The design of Beam Punt does not include any changes in the recognizable form of the punt. Instead, the designers paid attention to improving the proportions, construction, and details of the boat.
