As cities become more crowded, it is expected that premium buildings not only provide views but also provide spaces that provide a comfortable and private setting within the context of the city. This is accomplished by Foster + Partners through The Estate Makati, which comprises two residential towers and is a new definition of luxury living in the heart of Metro Manila. Situated along Ayala Avenue, the project provides an excellent mix of architecture and open spaces, together with well-designed homes.
The towers that make up the project have a sculptural design that maximizes light, air, and views of the entire city. The towers’ proportions are accentuated with large terraces and balconies that offer shade and extend the indoor space into the outdoors. Instead of offering a flat front to the building, the towers are formed through a rhythm of outdoor rooms that not only distinguish the architecture but also enhance its environmental performance. The gardens and arrival areas at ground level form a tranquil transition from the bustling urban landscape into a private residential realm.

The buildings have been planned to be open and flexible, allowing space for modern lifestyles while ensuring that there is a strong link to the landscape around them. Full-height windows allow plenty of natural light into the building while offering unobstructed views of the skyline of Makati. Large terraces give the occupants private outdoor spaces that they can enjoy all through the year, becoming an extension of the interior space and helping with ventilation.
There are many amenities available within the project, which are not only limited to the private spaces but also include a series of community spaces. These will help the occupants to lead a well-balanced life, while at the same time allowing circulation spaces and interior detailing that is elegant in nature.
